Congaree Foreging Trip!🍄

Writer's picture: Ava WojtczakAva Wojtczak

We visited Congaree National Park for a foraging trip where we were on the lookout for oyster mushrooms and pine needles. We collected a large oyster mushroom and a couple of bushels of pine needles. We taught members about different plants and mushrooms and their culinary and medicinal uses. We hiked around 3 miles during our trip and ended with about 3 hours of hiking.
